researchfundingdevelopment.net is a resource for the research and grant support community with information on funding opportunities, funder policy news and general information on grants, funding and supporting research. Its aims are to follow the principles of research development, which is defined by Jon Hunt at the University of Bath, as:
‘A set of strategic, proactive, catalytic and capacity building activities designed to facilitate individual faculty members, teams of researchers and central research administrations in attracting external research funding, creating relationships and developing and implementing strategies that increase institutional competitiveness’.
Although rather long, it is all-embracing and I thought useful to quote here.
This site is developed and maintained by Graeme Docherty, Research Coordinator in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham.
